About Open Space Technology method:

Open Space Technology, or simply ‘Open Space’, is a meeting framework that allows an unlimited number of participants to form their own discussions around a central theme. The method was invented in the 1980s by Harris Owen and has been used widely ever since. All you need for this method is a skilled facilitator, people, space, and a general topic that you will discuss. Detailed agenda of the event is created by participants.

Aim of this training:

Experience the method (in interaction with other participants, you will have a hands-on experience of the method)
Reflection of the method and its use (we will observe your experience of a method, you will get a look into the method’s concept)
Facilitators tips & tricks guide (Ursa will share her experience with this method: what to be careful about at live, online, or offline events, how to communicate this event to participants, and how long should each event be based on the number of participants, how many topics to choose, etc)

After this training, you will be able to:

Prepare the Open Space Technology event concept
Facilitate event with Open Space Technology methodology
Enable people inside of your organization to experience this simple and uplifting method
You will feel confident about this method and you will have all your questions and concerns answered

When can you use this method

About the trainer

Urša Svetelj will guide you through the Open Space Technology method. She will share her knowledge and practical experience over the past years. Due to her work with numerous different groups, developing long-term training programs, facilitating discussions, and delivering one on one coaching sessions, we are positive you will get the most out of this training.
