Jump out of your comfort zone

When we work together, we notice so many things about our coworkers, their strengths, their weaknesses, their model of the world. How often do we share them? What could our team achieve if we would establish a level of psychological safety, where it would be okay to give each other feedback on a regular level? Developing a culture of transparent feedback giving, where feedback is not just a tool but everyone’s responsibility is outside of our comfort zones. A very efficient step in this direction is Jump out of your comfort zone workshop with your team.

Workshop content:

  • Analysing Psychological safety via survey, developing Psychological safety in your team and establishing a safe environment. Even though going out of your comfort zone.
  • Golden rules of giving and receiving feedback with practical exercises. (It sounds simple enough, however most people are afraid of receiving feedback due to their bad experiences in the past.)
  • Facilitated session with giving and receiving positive and negative feedback from the whole team.
  • Team agreement for the next steps to grow a culture of transparent feedback giving & plan for follow up.

Results that you can expect:

  • Higher level of self-awareness of each team member.
  • Improved relationships and team collaboration.
  • Boosted motivation and engagement levels.
  • Everyone’s drive to improve their weaknesses and use their strengths.

  • Experienced external facilitators will create an environment in which it is okay to give feedback.
  • Best teams in the world (research by Google) focus on improving Psychological safety, which is the main factor for above average team performance.
  • Regular feedback will certainly boost team self awareness and uncover personal blind spots. Therefore, when the team is mature enough, they will even start putting their ego aside.
